Consumer Tip:

Prequalified or Pre-approved?
It's important to know up front how much you will be able to borrow to purchase a property.  It saves time in focusing your property search and it saves disappointment if you find the perfect property only to realize that you can't get a loan. Getting prequalified determines how much you can afford.  It indicates to the seller that you are serious and really can afford to buy the property. Getting pre-approved goes one step further and a lender not only determines how much you can afford but pre-approves the loan before you find a property so you can move swiftly when you find just the right home. Visit with a local lending professional to determine the best way to approach the financing of your new home.
